Affordability and the cost of living is the most important issue facing Edmontonians today, according to a new poll for CityNews. 

The Canada Pulse Insights poll asked residents to name their top three issues, with more than one-third of respondents (37 per cent) selecting affordability and the cost of living.

Health care ranked second at 30 per cent, followed by homelessness (28 per cent), municipal taxes and spending (22 per cent), housing affordability (20 per cent), and crime and policing (19 per cent).

Nearly half of Edmontonians (48 per cent) named either the cost of living or housing affordability – or both – in their top three.
